We had Dominion help us with the start of our kitchen remodeling with a small reorganization of some of the existing space converting our old laundry room off the kitchen into a pantry and relocating the laundry using the existing space around the corner. Our home is in one of Charlotte Historic neighborhoods built in 1929. So naturally we had lots of questions and concerns in regards to our home's specific needs.From the start to end they were professional, knowledgeable and prompt with a keen attention to detail. Their initial estimate on costs and time came in very close to the actual. That speaks volumes about the knowledge and professionalism they embody.Quick to address any questions, issues or concerns that arose as the project was underway. Plus they also helped advise us with direction recommendations several times throughout the project which will help save us costs when we move forward with a full kitchen remodel.All we can say is Dominion did an amazing job on the project. The Dominion team just helped us complete our total kitchen renovation down to the flooring. They were able to come in and do all the work within the original timeframe and was even able to help us deal with some old water damage left behind by the previous owner.They do quality work and were very responsive throughout to ensure we got the kitchen that we had envisioned. We hired Dominion Remodeling to do our kitchen remodel and are very pleased that we did. They are professionals, craftsmen and they do exceptional work. We highly recommend you check them out if you are searching for a reputable residential remodeling contractor in the Charlotte area.Our original mid 1980s kitchen was beginning to fall apart, the tile floors were cracked and the layout was terrible. Although Dominion offers design services we had a different designer rework the existing layout prior to our meeting them. Our existing kitchen was awkwardly designed as it was squeezed into a tight space in between the dining room and the den, which made it even more difficult to re-work.We were ready to begin the remodel in early 2020 but had to put our plans on hold. When the time came to let folks back into our house we contacted various local remodeling contractors but the bids we were getting back were not great. Some were sloppy and not well thought out, some way over budget, and some written basically on the back of a napkin! This went on for months. Most of these contractors did not want to even pull county permits which was a huge red flag as we needed engineering and structural work, HVAC, plumbing relocated and gas and electrical work too.A friend of my told me about Dominion Remodeling who had done a small bathroom remodel for her and how pleased she was with their work ethic and the actual work which she said was done well, on time and on budget.I called Nick, the GC at Dominion, and he came by and looked at our plans and gave us a bid which was well written, and included pulling permits! We had exacting needs and he was very patient with us while we worked out the terms of the contract. We wanted everything in writing so there would be no surprises during the build. Nick made all the adjustments we requested and made suggestions as was needed.We finalized the contract and work started in February 2022 when his crew came in and completely demolished our existing kitchen and rebuilt our new one! Nick said it would take 6-8 weeks and it took exactly 8 weeks. There were no cost over runs, no downtime, they showed up every day and put in a full days’ work. The job was well done and we are thrilled with the result and we highly recommend Dominion Remodeling.
